A bill that will require New York State prisons and County and City jails to house Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-Binary and Intersex (TGNCNBI) people where they are safest and make sure they get access to gender-affirming medical care and personal items.

Housing Decisions for Transgender, Gender Non-Confirming and Intersex Individuals

A bill that will require the New York City Department of Correction to to house Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, Non-Binary and Intersex (TGNCNBI) people where they are safest. This bill would also create an appeals process for when such requests are denied and empower the Board of Correction to issue opinions regarding appeals of housing requests related to gender identity.
